WebEx Meeting Tool for CUNY Faculty

What is WebEx?

WebEx is a conferencing platform that lets you set up real-time online sessions with your students or colleagues. WebEx has been integrated into Blackboard so you can hold meetings within your Blackboard course. Meetings can become a part of scheduled classes or held on demand.

Note: CUNY has arranged for Cisco WebEx to provide short-term WebEx Meeting and WebEx Teams licenses to all CUNY students, faculty and staff to help with online learning and meetings during the spring 2020 coronavirus outbreak. As of now, this license will expire on June 7, 2020.

WebEx Meetings Key Features

  • Invite up to 200 online meeting participants
  • Join audio via via your computer or by calling in
  • Share your screen with participants
  • Record meetings and download recordings
  • Mailed invitations from WebEx include calendar object
  • Blackboard integration via WebEx Education Connector

Caution: The ConnectCUNY WebEx license is currently active through June 7, 2020. All recorded Webex Meetings and WebEx Teams content will be deleted after that date.
